Weizhi Aviation, a Chinese cargo drone manufacturer, has secured approximately 100 million yuan (US$13.8 million) in a pre-series A funding round, led by Liangxi Science and Technology Innovation Industry Investment and China Merchants Venture Capital. Founded in 2020 and based in Shenzhen, the company specializes in large unmanned cargo aircraft, with its first model, the Macro Cloud Bear, capable of transporting 500 kilograms over 500 kilometers. Weizhi Aviation aims to expand its operations and develop future models, including heavier and electric-powered drones, while contributing to China's growing low-altitude economy.
